How to connect Ledger Enterprise to Cryptio

You can connect your Ledger Enterprise account to Cryptio to automatically sync balances and transactions. Once connected, your data will stay up to date without manual uploads.

To complete the setup, you will first need to generate a Reporting API Key in Ledger Enterprise, then use the Integrations page in Cryptio to connect. Once connected, you can use the Imports page to select which vaults to import.

Step 1: Generate a Reporting API Key in Ledger Enterprise

Before you start:

  • You need to have Entities created in Ledger Enterprise. Entities are groupings of accounts.

  • Reporting API keys allow approved third parties (like Cryptio) to access balances, users, transactions, and notifications.

  • Only workspace administrators can create, manage, and revoke these keys.

  • No technical expertise is required to generate or manage them.

Create a New Reporting API Key

  1. Log in to your Ledger Enterprise workspace.

  2. From the left sidebar, go to Workspace Settings → Ledger Enterprise Reporting API Keys.

  3. If you haven’t created any reporting keys yet, click Create Reporting API Key.

  4. Provide a descriptive name (e.g., Cryptio_ReadOnly_2025-01) and select which entities the key will have access to.

Request Approval & Reveal the Key

  • Creating a new reporting API key requires admin quorum approval. The key is not active until approval and reveal are completed.

  • Admins will see pending requests under Requests. They can review and approve the key’s attributes (name and authorized entities).

  • Once approved, go back to Ledger Enterprise Reporting API Keys, locate your new key, and click Reveal.

The API secret will only be displayed once. Store it securely — if lost, it cannot be recovered.

Step 2: Connect Ledger Enterprise in Cryptio

  1. Log in to your Cryptio workspace.

  2. In the left-hand menu, go to Connect → Integrations.

  3. Select Ledger Enterprise.

  4. Enter your API Key and API User to establish the connection.

Once connected:

  • The Integrations page will show the status of the Ledger Enterprise connection.

  • Use Update on this page whenever new vaults are added in Ledger Enterprise, so they become available for import in Cryptio.

Step 3: Import Your Vaults from Ledger Enterprise

  1. Go to the Imports tab.

  2. Select Custody, then choose Ledger Enterprise.

  3. Choose which vaults you want to import.

  4. Select the Import date range (full history available).

  5. Click Create to start the import. Your Ledger Enterprise transactions will begin syncing into Cryptio.

Step 4: Verify Your Import

  1. In Imports, locate Ledger Enterprise.

  2. Click the transaction count to open Transactions.

  3. Confirm balances and a sample of transactions look correct.

Troubleshooting

  • Missing vaults: Go to Connect → Integrations → Ledger Enterprise and click Update.

  • Missing transactions: Make sure the API key was granted access to all relevant entities.

  • Invalid or expired key: Generate a new reporting API key in Ledger Enterprise and update Cryptio.

  • Discrepancies: Double-check that the correct API User and date range were entered.
