Importing xPubs

To access your full transaction history in Cryptio, you need to provide your wallet’s xPub (Extended Public Key) address.

An xPub address always begins with “xpub…”.

What Is an Extended Public Key (xPub)?

Every Bitcoin wallet is created from a pair of cryptographic keys:

  • A private key (kept secret) that lets you send funds.

  • A public key (shared) that generates your receiving addresses.

An Extended Public Key (xPub) is a special type of public key that allows you to view all past and future receiving addresses generated by a wallet.

This means that with a single xPub, Cryptio can:

  • Track every transaction linked to your wallet.

  • Automatically detect new addresses created within the same wallet.

  • Keep your transaction history updated in real time.

An xPub is read-only. It does not include your private keys, so it cannot be used to send or move your funds. Sharing your xPub with Cryptio is safe because it only grants visibility, not control.

The steps to find your xPub address vary depending on your wallet provider. Select your wallet below and follow the instructions.
