How to connect Kraken to Cryptio
You can connect your Kraken account to Cryptio to automatically import balances, deposits, withdrawals, and spot/margin trading history. Once set up, your data will sync in real time.
Step 1: Generate Your API Key in Kraken
Log in to your Kraken account.
In the top right-hand corner, click Security → scroll down and select API.
Click Create API Key. You’ll be redirected to Kraken Pro’s API section.
Under Permissions, select only the following:
Query
Query Open Orders & Trades
Query Closed Orders & Trades
Query Ledger Entries
Export Data
Click Generate Key.
Your new API key and secret will be displayed. Store your API key and secret securely. If lost, they cannot be recovered—you’ll need to create a new one.
Step 2: Import Your Kraken API Key into Cryptio
Log in to your Cryptio workspace.
Go to the Imports tab.
Select Exchanges, then click the Kraken block.
Paste your API key and secret into the required fields.
Choose an Import date range (you can fetch your full transaction history).
Click Create to start the import.
Step 3: Verify Your Import
In the Imports tab, find your Kraken connection.
Click the transaction count to open your transactions.
Confirm balances and a sample of transactions match your Kraken account.
Troubleshooting
Missing transactions: Ensure all required “Query” permissions were enabled when generating your key.
Invalid or expired key: If your key doesn’t work, regenerate it in Kraken and update it in Cryptio.
Import fails immediately: Check that you copied both the API key and the secret into Cryptio.
