Step 1: Setting up your Cryptio account
Before diving into Cryptio, let’s take a tour of your workspace and set it up so it works for you and your business. Spending time on these steps will give you a strong foundation for building a healthy workspace.
Navigating Your Workspace
When you log into Cryptio, you’ll land on the Treasury Page in your workspace.
In the upper-right corner, you’ll see three icons for quick navigation:
👤 Profile icon – Access your personal settings, update your password, manage your Cryptio subscription, and set up two-factor authentication (2FA).
⚙️ Settings icon – Open your workspace settings in a drawer on the right-hand side.
From workspace settings, you can configure the following defaults:
Name and Description – Add context about your workspace (e.g., “UK Entity”).
Workspace Currency – We recommend using the fiat currency you use in your ERP.
Timezone – Many blockchains default to UTC, but it’s often best to match your ERP’s timezone to avoid discrepancies.
Cost Basis Methodology – Select a per-wallet cost basis methodology whenever possible.
Lock/Unlock Periods – After completing a period, lock it to prevent accidental changes to transactions.
Workspace Members – Add, remove, and manage members.
Main Sections of Your Workspace
On the left-hand side of your screen, you’ll see the main navigation menu:
