How to connect Bitfinex to Cryptio0
The Bitfinex integration allows you to automatically import your balances and full spot transaction history into Cryptio. Once connected, your data will stay in sync.
Step 1: Generate Your API Key in Bitfinex
Log in to your Bitfinex account.
Click the My Account icon in the top-right corner.
Select API from the dropdown menu.
Click Create New Key.
Configure your key:
Permissions: Leave only the permissions starting with Get enabled. Do not enable trading or withdrawal permissions.
IP Allowlist (optional): If required, add the Cryptio IPs.
Label: Give your key a descriptive name, such as
Cryptio_ReadOnly_YYYY-MM.
Save and copy both the API key and API secret. Store them securely.
Only Read access is required.
Step 2: Import Your API Key into Cryptio
Log in to your Cryptio workspace.
Go to the Imports tab.
Select Bitfinex from the list of exchanges.
Paste your API key and API secret into the required fields.
Choose your import date range (you can import your full history).
Click Create to start the import.
Step 3: Verify Your Import
In the Imports tab, locate Bitfinex.
Check the transaction count.
Click through to Transactions and confirm that balances and a sample of transactions look correct.
Troubleshooting
Missing transactions: Make sure all required “Get” (read-only) permissions are enabled.
Invalid or expired key: Regenerate a new API key in Bitfinex and update it in Cryptio.
IP allowlist errors: Confirm that you have added Cryptio’s IPs in Bitfinex if applicable.
Rate limits: Bitfinex may throttle API requests. Allow a short delay for syncs.
